Ok, I'm a little disappointed, too.
But seriously, I had to list my financial situation as a hardship -- I can't be selling any more belongings (like camera gear) to survive because... I almost don't have anything left.
So yeah -- the judge accepted it -- although now I'm a little bummed -- It was so interesting and I was kind of having fun!
The courtroom was packed (over 100 people). I dare say at least 60% of them submitted hardship requests -- and most (from what I could tell) got denied.
This was going to be a 3+ week trial, with deliberations to follow. And it was not starting until December. I don't know anything about the case -- and I couldn't tell you if I did -- but 3 weeks? Sounds like a big deal.
And then -- what's the fun of me doing something for 3+ weeks that I couldn't talk about anyway!
So I'm baaaAAAAaaack. :)
PS. This was only juror group #1 of 3. That's like over 300 potential jurors!
